PROFIBUS-MFI technical symposium draws a crowd
PROFIBUS Association South-East Asia, in cooperation with MFI Technological Institute (MFI-TI), recently held a free symposium and exhibit on PROFIBUS and PROFINET which drew more than 100 managers and engineers from the country’s industry sector.
Themed “PROFIBUS/PROFINET: Technology Easy to Use,” the event introduced participants to fieldbus technology and Ethernet-based fieldbus system. Exhibitors for the event included Siemens, Procentec, Phoenix Contact, VIPA Automation, and Turck.

Aside from sponsoring the event, SIEMENS also donated two sets of PLC equipment to MFI-TI to complement its basic and advanced courses in Programmable Logic Controllers.
MFI-TI is a center of MFI Foundation, Inc. (formerly Meralco Foundation) which provides tech voc education and short-term courses in the technology areas of instrumentation, electrical, electronics, IT, refrigeration and air-conditioning, and mechanical technology.
