Two-Year Dual Training System Program

Offered under the Industrial Technician Program of the MFI Technological Institute are the 2-year certificate courses which uses the Dual Training System (DTS) mode of education where the first half of the training will be done entirely in school and the second half in the industry.

Specialization Areas

A course in Automotive and Motorcycle Technology will prepare an individual to work in the field of Automotive and Motorcycle Servicing.  Students will learn how to perform periodic maintenance, troubleshoot, overhaul the manual transmission, and service various automotive and motorcycle systems such as the charging and starting system, carburetor and fuel, cooling and lubricator system, suspension and brakes.

As a DTS course, students will have a required 1,440 hours of on-the-job training with establishments such as Yamaha Motors Philippines, Ford Philippines, Robert Bosch Inc., CATS Motors, and Seaboard-Eastern Insurance, MFI-TI's current OJT partners.  

A course in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology will prepare an individual to work in the field of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Services. Students will learn how to install, service and maintain, troubleshoot, recover and recycle, repair and retrofit window-type air-conditioning (domestic refrigeration) units.

As a DTS course, students will have a required 1,440 hours of on-the-job training with establishments such as ASERCO, Celsonaire Enterprises, and Fix n Care Ref and Aircon Repair Services, MFI-TI's current OJT partners.  

A course in Industrial Mechatronics Technology will prepare an individual to work in the field of Mechatronics Services.  Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of pneumatics, programmable logic controllers, hydraulic systems, motor controls and electronics circuits. They will also learn how to install, configure and test mechatronics devices.

As a DTS course, students will have a required 1,440 hours of on-the-job training with establishments such as Welltech Service Corp., Industrial Controls Corp., Mechatronics Technologies, Nascent Mechatronics Corp., Totally Integrated Automation, ON Semiconductors, and Littelfuse Inc. , MFI-TI's current OJT partners.  

A course in Network Administration Technology will prepare an individual to work in the field of Network Administration Services. Students will learn how to troubleshoot and repair computers; install, configure and administer Windows professionals and Windows server; implement and manage Windows network infrastructure and Windows network environment; administer Linux system and Linux network administration. All students will be prepared for the CCNA exam for Cisco certification.

As a DTS course, students will have a required 1,440 hours of on-the-job training with establishments such as Teletech Customer Care Management, Ford Motors Philippines, and Northstar Philippines, MFI-TI's current OJT partners.  


General Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or candidate for graduation
  • Age 17 and above; interested applicants who are 25 years old and above will be pre-assessed
  • Should pass the screening procedures conducted by the MFI Admissions Committee
  • Physically and mentally fit

Documentary Requirements:

To apply for the program, please download and accomplish the application form together with the following:

  • Two (2) pieces 2x2 ID photo (any background)
  • For high school graduates and graduating students, photocopy of the secondary report card and for college level, photocopy of transcript of records
  • Two(2) recommendation letters from the last school attended, one from the Principal and one from the Guidance Counselor, both with scholl dry seal.
  • Testing fee of P100 upon submission of duly accomplished Application Form
