Entrepreneurship education just got easier!

MFI Foundation, Inc. has a new Study Now, Pay It Forward scheme for high school graduates who will enroll this coming June 2010 for the BS Entrepreneurial Management (BSEM) program offered jointly by the MFI Farm Business Institute and University of Rizal System. BSEM is a ladderized program offered in a residential campus in Jalajala, Rizal with 30 percent of the semester covering academic subjects and 70 percent for hands-on training.

Applicants must be determined to succeed as entrepreneurs. The requirements for the applicants of BSEM Batch 2010-2014 Study Now, Pay It Forward scheme are as follows:  

1.       Of good moral character; 

2.       Annual family income of not more than Php 150,000;

3.       Candidate should rank in the upper 20% of high school graduating class;  

4.       Pass the MFI Farm Business Institute designated entrance/admission tests;

5.       Performance in high school (per transcript of records or Form 138);

6.      Willingness to abide by the school policies and guidelines;  

7.       At least 18 years old; and  

8.      A Filipino citizen 

Checklist

1.       A letter written by the applicant expressing interest to participate and abide by the Study Now Pay Later policies and guidelines for the BS Entrepreneurial Management major in Farm Business;  

2.       Three copies of an accomplished application form;

3.       Recommendation letter from high school principal attesting to the candidate’s good moral character and indicating student performance or rating/ranking in the graduating class;   

4.       National Career Aptitude Exam (NCAE);  

5.       Income tax return and other proof of family income;  

6.       Four copies 1”x1” picture.  

 

 Preference will be given to highly qualified applicants who meet the following criteria:

•         High school graduates from  Family Farm Schools and Rural Development Schools;

•         Eldest child in the family or at least the first in the family to have a chance to reach tertiary level education or study college; and

 •         Parents are farmers and family has a farm either owned, rented or leased
